All prospective flag and tackle coaches:

ACTION NEEDED:  Please register for the upcoming 2026 Rockford Youth Football season on our website by Friday June 26.  

We greatly appreciate the coaches that volunteered their time last season!  We anticipate another high level of participation this season and it’s very important we have coaches especially at the flag level.  Please pass this along to anyone interested that might not be on this “former coaches” email list.  

Note Regarding USA Football Coaches Certification (Tackle coaches only)

Upon completion of registration, tackle coaches will receive instructions for taking the USA Football Coaches Certification.  This certification is a requirement for all tackle coaches at all levels within our program.  A couple of callouts regarding the certification….

• USA Football Coaches Certification is a very in depth process and will take between 3-4 hours from start to finish.

• You are allowed to start and stop and it will manage your progress.

• It is mobile phone friendly… good opportunity to complete certain modules while commuting.

• We will run completion reports to ensure all coaches have completed the certification. 

• Flag coaches are not required to take the certification.  

• Coaches that completed the certification in the past will take a “recertification”.  The recertification is significantly shorter than the full version
